On July 17, Héctor Tricoche, a salsa musician from Puerto Rico, died at the age of 66.
His family found out about his death through his official Facebook and Instagram pages. It was found out that the Juana Daz native had died of a heart attack in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The salsa legend died, leaving behind his work in the style for about 46 years. Tricoche’s career is said to have begun in 1976. In the beginning, he was a member of the band at his school in Juana Daz, Puerto Rico. Later, in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Tricoche started making salsa music as a job. The singer was most famous for songs like “Hacer El Amor,” “Mujer Prohibida,” and “Sed de Amarte.”
In the 1990s, Tricoche put out about eight studio albums. By 2007, he had put out six albums with tracks from different albums put together.
